General Electric (GE)'s Chairman Jeffrey Immelt is preparing to sell NBC Universal and shrink the company's GE Capital unit. He is betting GE's future growth on the ability to take industrial offerings from development to market and improving the performance of industrial products by exploring hydrophobic nano-engineered surfaces.
Check out this picture from GE's Nanocoatings Subscale Lab at their Global Research Center in Niskayuna, New York. It shows colored water droplets bead up on a
hydrophobic nano-engineered surface:
mPhase Technologies (XDSL) had the foresight to see the potential in exploiting the phenomenon of electrowetting all the way back in 2005 and today they have an unbelievable head start compared to other companies in this space!
XDSL is about to deliver the first ever Smart Programmable NanoBattery to the US Army. The Smart NanoBattery is being developed as part of the U.S. Army STTR Program to develop unique new battery technology for military purposes.
XDSL, through its wholly owned retail subsidiary mPower, has also developed its award winning emergency illuminator featuring "Power On Command" battery technology. XDSL's mPower Emergency Illuminator is featured this month in the new September issue of Men's Journal magazine and you can purchase it by going to: http://www.mpowertech.com
XDSL recently received a United States patent for the concept of a porous membrane made from silicon that is capable of controlling the flow of a wide range of liquids, including electrolytes, used in both primary and rechargeable batteries. (This new patent is jointly held between XDSL and Alcatel-Lucent.)
Be sure to start your research on XDSL immediately and spread the word to everybody you know! I believe GE's entry into this space validates everything XDSL has been developing and XDSL could have absolutely huge upside potential from its current price of $0.0157!
